Spain and Morocco
Francisco Iglesias joined ALSA in 1991 and has gained over 20 years experience in senior management positions within the organisation, including General Manager of the Intercity Transport Division and most recently Corporate General Manager.
In 2016 he was appointed CEO of Alsa Group.
Matt Ashley joined National Express as Group Financial Controller in 2010 from Deloitte where he was a Director specialising in transport and infrastructure and the auditing of listed companies, having previously qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998. He was promoted to Finance Director of the UK Bus division in 2013 before becoming interim Group Finance Director in October 2014, assuming the substantive role (and becoming an Executive Director of National Express Group PLC) on a permanent basis in January 2015. Matt relinquished that role (but not his Executive Director position) in order to take up the appointment as Chief Executive Officer and President of North America, based in Chicago, from 1 September 2017.
UK and Germany
Tom was appointed Managing Director UK and Germany in April 2017 with responsibility for the UK Bus and Coach divisions as well as the German Rail business. He joined National Express in 2011 as Group Business Development Director and was appointed Managing Director UK Coach in November 2012, also taking on National Express Rail in January 2017. In July 2017 Tom was appointed Managing Director UK Bus.
Before joining National Express, Tom was Senior Vice President, Commercial Development, for FirstGroup America, with responsibility for building the commercial contracting capability of the business. Previously he held a number of roles at First Great Western Trains including two years on the Board as Commercial Director.
