Our Rail Credentials
Our Rail Companies
  Global vision, local focus
National Express Group is a leading international transport company. We operate many well-known transport brands in the rail, bus and coach sectors. These brands include, Central Trains, c2c, Gatwick Express, Midland Mainline, 'one', Silverlink, Wagn, Wessex Trains, National Express coaches, Travel Coventry, Travel Dundee, Travel London and Travel West Midlands. Overseas, we operate yellow school buses and local bus services in the United States and Canada.

We carry over a billion passengers a year and employ over 40,000 staff.

Our vision is Joining up People and Places. Everywhere we operate, from the smallest rural community to the largest capital city, our rail, bus and coach services aim to take the ‘distance’ out of travel – to make travel easier and more enjoyable.

We believe in utilising local knowledge and we always give maximum autonomy to our local managers. We have local management teams that live and breathe the business, understand local transport needs and can provide a quality service to local customers.

All our companies operate in this devolved manner - responsible for their own operations. Each company has its own brand and works directly with local customers and partners to do what it does best - delivering services that customers want to use and behind this comes the back-up support and experience of a major international transport Group. We succeed by making things easy and simple, by working in partnership, by taking the initiative and by being open and honest as best we can.
