National Express train operator c2c is introducing a major improvement to the timetable from Sunday 11 December with a 200% increase in peak stops for rail passengers at West Ham station, providing much improved direct links with London Underground and Docklands Light Railway services at this busy interchange.
On weekdays 12 services for London Fenchurch Street in the busiest hour of the morning-peak will call additionally at West Ham, a big increase on the current 4 services. In the busiest hour of the evening-peak 11 services will call at West Ham. These extra trains meet a key franchise commitment for c2c following the completion of signalling improvement works in the West Ham area creating additional capacity enabling the introduction of an improved timetable.
Other additional weekday services in the c2c timetable from 11 December include: 05.39 Barking to Grays; 17.13 & 18.06 Laindon to Fenchurch Street; 18.14 Pitsea to Fenchurch Street and 18.54 Grays to Fenchurch Street.
There are a number of other alterations to services and customers are advised to check their travel details at www.c2c-online.co.uk The Saturday and Sunday timetable is unchanged and services will operate to the existing schedules.
