Responding to the challenges of climate change is a crucial and one which National Express is absolutely committed to.

Transport emissions in 2006 contributed to 24% of global CO₂ emissions, with over half of these being due to car travel. By 2020 travel within the UK is forecast to increase by a further 19%, and congestion will slow our journeys down by 4% (3 seconds) for each kilometre we travel. Clearly business as usual is not a sustainable option.

Our vision for transport in 2008 is that More is Less; the more we extend the provision of public transport, the more people use it instead of cars or planes and the less CO₂ and pollution will be released into our atmosphere, therefore allowing a clearer and better quality of life for all.
