• NXEA remote monitoring on class 90 trains
NXEA also received a commendation in the Environment Award category at the Rail Innovation Awards for their proactive approach to managing environment issues and improving energy efficiency.

• Gunton Station (privately owned but on NXEA network) - shared the First Group Skills Award.

• Golden Spanner - Britain’s most punctual trains - c2c Class 357 trains (and hence best  New Generation EMU)
• Silver spanner Award   – Most improved intercity trains - NXEA – loco hauled sets
