24 Jun 2008

National Express East Anglia is informing passengers that most weekends over the forthcoming summer period will be free of Network Rail improvement works on the mainline route from Norwich to London. This means that customers can plan days out or weekends away during the summer without the need to check for engineering work service alterations. No Network Rail engineering work alterations are planned for the following weekends affecting the Norwich to London mainline route:

Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 June
Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 July
Saturday 19 & Sunday 20 July *
Saturday 02 & Sunday 3 August
Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 August **
Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 August
Saturday 30 & Sunday 31 August
Saturday 06 & Sunday 07 September

National Express East Anglia offers a range of low cost fares for journeys to London and this includes thousands of seats available at just £6 for adults one way and £3 for children one way. These fares together with the engineering work free weekends are a great incentive for families to enjoy a day out in London. The train operator is also offering 2for1 deals on admission to many London attractions, including theatres, hotels and restaurants as well as family attractions. Customers can collect a voucher booklet for the 2for1 admission offers from their local National Express East Anglia station or download one at www.nationalexpress.com/london2for1.

Andrew Goodrum Business Director for National Express East Anglia commented:
‘We are pleased that many weekends this summer will be free of Network Rail improvement works on the Norwich to London Mainline service, allowing for uninterrupted journeys. Together with the attractive ticket and admission offers, there has never been a better time to plan a family day out or weekend away.’
