Brimsdown station blooms

23 Apr 2009

National Express East Anglia’s Brimsdown station has a blossoming garden, thanks to the efforts of the local station care assistant Kim Willmott and her colleague Dawn Norton.

Kim tends the garden in her own time and her dedication and resourcefulness has brought back to life a previously neglected area which runs alongside one of the station platforms.

The garden has proved so popular that local commuters are now regularly donating plants to add to the displays as the garden continues to grow. Other floral arrangements are also livening up the ticket office area.

Paul Barnfield, National Express East Anglia’s Head of Customer Services – West said:

‘I really appreciate Kim and Dawn’s work in brightening up Brimsdown station. The flowers really bring a smile to people’s faces making the station more attractive and cheerful for everyone.’
