National Express East Anglia appoints new station manager for Liverpool Street

National Express East Anglia has appointed Colin MacConnachie to the role of Station Manager at London Liverpool Street.

Colin joined the rail industry in March 2007 and has worked at Liverpool Street  for the past 2 years. He has enjoyed an impressive career in retail, working for key brands such as Sainsbury’s and Homebase, prior to joining National Express.

Colin is responsible for all customer service and retail activities at the station, and managing the National Express customer service team at one of Europe’s busiest stations.

Speaking about his new role Colin said:

“What I am looking forward to most is engaging with people and being part of the greatest station in Europe. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. Over the coming months, I hope to bring about a consistent and continuous improvement for our customers, delivering customer satisfaction.”

Colin lives in Essex, he relaxes by spending time with his family and his greatest indulgence is skiing. Colin’s favourite football team is Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Liverpool Street is one of Europe’s busiest stations and is used by more people each day than Heathrow Airport.  During any 24 hours, 770 trains are despatched from the station.
