A key philosophy of the Group encourages devolved decision making allowing local management to make decisions in order that we can best respond to local transport needs.
We do not operate in underdeveloped countries or those that have a high risk of violating human rights. The human rights issues relevant to our own operations are therefore those relating to equal opportunities and diversity. We expect our subsidiary companies to comply with the relevant legislation, including that relating to the workplace, of the jurisdiction or country in which they operate.
We recognise that we have a responsibility to ensure that human rights are upheld in our supply chain. While our supply chain is generally located in the countries or regions in which we operate, we will engage with suppliers who source products or materials from at risk countries to promote compliance with relevant local legislation and the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
