Local Wyken lad Ian Sutton has signed up to “grow a mo” to raise money for the NHS and Movember Foundation.

As a Customer Service Adviser for National Express Coventry, Ian has been a popular face with customers at Pool Meadow bus station over the last four years.

This month he’s hoping his changing face will raise £1,000 for the NHS and Movember Foundation.

Ian, aged 30, said:

“I signed up for the Movember challenge to make people aware of the great work that goes on around us - especially this year when it’s been such a strange and difficult year for everybody.

“I’d like to raise as much money as possible for the NHS for all the fantastic work they’ve been doing during the pandemic and also for the Movember Foundation which supports men living with cancer and mental health issues.

“The messages of support and kind donations I’ve received from colleagues and customers visiting Pool Meadow bus station have been fantastic. I’m so grateful for everybody’s support so far.”

During the first two weeks of his challenge Ian has raised £450 of his £1,000 target.

Anybody wishing to follow Ian’s progress can check for the latest updates on National Express Coventry’s facebook page www.facebook.com/nxcoventry.

Donations can be made at the National Express travelshop in Pool Meadow bus station where raffle tickets are also available to be in with a chance of winning a homemade hamper. All money raised from the sale of the raffle tickets will be added to the overall fundraising total.
