Commenting on the sale, Peter O’Neill, founder of Kings Ferry who will be retiring from the business said: “The Kings Ferry is renown for providing the very best in luxury coach travel. I am very proud of the quality of services that we provide as a company. However, as Kings Ferry moves into its next stage of development I welcome the backing and expertise that a company like National Express can bring. I believe National Express has the potential to invest in the business which will see the continued future growth of the business.”
Richard Bowker, Chief Executive of National Express Group said; “The Kings Ferry has been a business that we have admired from afar for many years. We know the team well and believe that their commuter coach product offering is the best in the market. We look forward to the Kings Ferry team, headed up by Steve O’Neill, joining the Group.
