Just the ticket for free Christmas travel
Bus users across the West Midlands could get an early Christmas present next week as National Express gives away over 25,000 free Daysavers and Travelcards.
The region’s largest bus operator is saying a big festive ‘thank you’ to it’s customers by staging a five day Christmas giveaway across Birmingham, Coventry and the Black Country.
Starting on Monday 30 November a special Christmas themed bus will stop at locations throughout the West Midlands to hand out free Daysavers and the chance to win free annual and monthly Travelcards.
The first people to board the bus could also walk away with exclusive England football memorabilia, including signed shirts.
Sue Gee, Marketing Manager for National Express bus, said:
“We wanted to say a big thank you to our customers for continuing to choose public transport this year. The free Travelcards and Daysavers will come in handy for people Christmas shopping or going for an evening out with colleagues during the festive period. December is one of the busiest times of the year and everyone who leaves the car will help to reduce congestion in the region.”
Over £85,000 worth of free Travelcards will be distributed during the five day promotion, which is being run in conjunction with local radio stations. The festive bus will be at the following locations next week – although it’s exact location will only be revealed on the day.
Monday: Stourbridge, Halesowen, Fiveways, Colmore Row
Tuesday: Solihull to Birmingham via Shirley and Hall Green
Wednesday: Northfield, Bourneville College, Selly Oak, Uni, Corp Street
Thursday: Walsall, Great Barr, Perry Barr (One Stop), Aston Uni, Birmingham B St.
Friday: Acocks Green, Yardley Swan Centre, Erdington, Bearwood High St, Harborne, Cotteridge, Sarehole Mill
Monday: Coventry City Centre, Foleshill Road, Ricoh Arena, Bedworth T/Centre
Tuesday: Leamington, Kenilworth, Warwick Uni, Earlsdon High Street
Wednesday: Coventry Pool Meadow, Jubilee Crescent, Prologis Park
