Opportunity for bus users to learn about new services
National Express Dundee is holding an information event on Friday 7 August to promote new bus services coming into effect from 16 August.
A National Express Dundee bus will be situated in City Square between 10am and 3pm with staff on hand to answer queries, distribute free timetables and advise new bus users on routes and tickets available.
Highlights of the service changes include:
- A new express service between Broughty Ferry, Technology Park and Ninewells to reduce commuting time across the city
- Restructuring of bus routes between St Mary’s / Ardler and the city centre in response to customer feedback.
- Investment in Douglas and Charleston corridor to further improve bus reliability.
- New service linking Gallagher Retail Park, City Centre and the City Quay on a half hourly frequency.
Lawrence Davie, Director of National Express Dundee, said:
“From 16 August National Express Dundee is making a series of changes to bus services in the city to better serve the community and encourage more people to travel by bus. Following service changes last year we have listened to customer feedback and made further improvements to the network.
We hope that customers will join us in City Square between 10am and 3pm on Friday 7 August to learn more about the new bus services on offer. They can also pose travel questions to our experts who will be happy to advise on ticket options and bus routes available throughout the city”
