Witham station improvements
Train operator National Express East Anglia has made a series of improvements at Witham station, Essex.
A new Customer Service Office has been installed between platforms 3 and 4, making it more convenient for passengers who have train service enquiries. In addition, a formerly disused customer waiting room on Platform 3 has been refurbished and upgraded to provide a more pleasant and comfortable environment for customers. Improved accommodation for station staff is also a feature of the enhancements.
Petrina Murphy, Group Station Manager for National Express East Anglia commented:
‘We’re delighted to be delivering these improvements for our customers and staff. The new Customer Service Office will mean we can offer our customers a better level of service.’
New signage was also recently fitted at the station. In addition, staff in partnership with station adopter Annie Northfield and her ‘Witham in Bloom’ volunteers have also enhanced the station environment with striking floral displays, providing bright bursts of colour along the station platforms.
