Investment is the key to driving forward success say The Kings Ferry
A Kent coach company is driving forward business success.
The Kings Ferry, which is part of National Express Group, has reported it is on track for a 10 per cent rise in private hire bookings.
Year-to-date, more than 1,200 bookings have been taken for private functions, representing a ten per cent leap compared to the same time in 2012.
The trademark Kings Ferry commuter coaches are a familiar sight on Kent's roads, with thousands of people using the services to travel to London for work every day.
Private hire is also an important - and growing - element of the business with The Kings Ferry offering services to clients ranging from international football teams and A-list music stars, to schools and individuals for one-off events such as weddings.
The Kings Ferry, who were voted UK Coach Operator of the Year in 2012 by the UK Coach Awards, operate a 62-strong fleet and offer vehicles ranging from 28 to 77-seater coaches, to luxury cars and even supplies helicopters.
Significant investment to ensure The Kings Ferry is an unbeatable private hire proposition has contributed to the rise, according to Commercial Director Danny Elford.
Investment in the firm's website making it easier for people to book travel, the appointment of a dedicated marketing manager to continually engage with prospects, as well as continual staff training makes The Kings Ferry stand out from the crowd.
The Kings Ferry Commercial Director Danny Elford said:
"Lots of companies talk about commitment to a first-class service but at The Kings Ferry we put our money where our mouth is with continued investment in technology, our fleet and our people. We've made it even easier for people to find out about our services and book with us, and our impeccable staff service combined with state-of-the art vehicles means people come back."
