Major revamp of Barking station toilets begins
National Express train operator c2c have begun a two-month project to overhaul the toilet facilities at Barking station.
The revamp, which will take two months, will deliver completely new men's, ladies' and disabled toilet facilities at the station. Toilet facilities will be closed at the station during the refurbishment, but every c2c train has at least one toilet on board for passengers to use.
Suzanne Linggood, c2c's Station Manager for Barking, said: "Barking is one of c2c's busiest stations and we know that having modern and presentable toilet facilities is really important for many of our passengers. This project will completely revamp the facilities at Barking station, ensuring passengers can be confident about using them in comfort for years to come."
The improvement works are being funded through the National Station Improvement Programme, funded by the Department for Transport.
