Durham School Services' facilities in Missouri are proud to announce its teams will receive the Fleet Excellence Award for outstanding bus inspections from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).
The Durham locations to receive the award include:
- Bronaugh, Mo which serves the Bronaugh R-VII school district
- El Dorado Springs, Mo which serves the El Dorado Springs R-2 school district
- California, Mo which serves the Moniteau County R-1 school district
- Latham, Mo which serves the Moniteau County R-V school district
"We take great pride maintaining our buses to the highest standard to ensure passenger safety," said Kevin Rhine, Region Manager for Durham.
"Every school day, our drivers do a multi-point inspection before and after each route to check for maintenance issues that need immediate attention. In addition, all buses are subject to comprehensive preventive maintenance inspections at least three times a year; that is above and beyond government requirements. All inspections include everything from addressing cosmetic issues to checking tyres, brakes, engine performance and suspension.
"Safety is our top priority at Durham," continued Rhine. "I am extremely proud of the maintenance team for their dedication to putting the safest vehicles on the roads. Achieving this award takes a lot of hard work and it showcases our commitment to the safety of our passengers, drivers and the general public."
