20,000 extra c2c seats and cheap tickets for kids over half term
National Express train operator c2c is adding 20,000 extra seats and offering cheap tickets for under-15s during next week’s half-term holidays.
Every day 14 off-peak trains are being doubled in length from four to eight carriages, providing over 280 extra seats on each service. These improvements apply to the first trains after the morning peak, to ensure there is plenty of space for people heading off on day trips.
c2c is also offering the chance for children aged 5-15 to travel for just £1 during half term. The “kids for a quid” offer is available whenever an adult buys an off-peak ticket online for travel between Monday and Friday next week, or if they download a voucher to take to the station.
c2c Managing Director Julian Drury said: “We know everyone is looking for something to keep the kids entertained this half term, so with extra seats and cheap tickets a trip on the train is a really attractive option. You can really save money if you plan ahead, and we’ve got a host of ideas on our website for anyone who is looking for inspiration for their day trip.”
