c2c and Rossi Ice Cream team up with chance to create a new taste of Southend
Two local Southend institutions, Rossi Ice Cream and local train operator c2c, have teamed up to offer passengers the chance to create a new ice cream flavour.
One lucky winner will get the chance to turn their vision into reality when they visit the Rossi Ice Cream factory to make their invention – and they will even get to design the tub too.
Anyone can enter the competition by visiting the c2c website and they have until Tuesday 18 August to submit their ideas.
This is just the start of the collaboration between c2c and Rossi, with plans to take a taste of Southend to the heart of the City of London later this month with samples of the famous ice cream at Fenchurch Street station.
c2c Commercial Director Clare McCaffrey said: “We know that the prospect of an ice cream by the beach in Southend is an irresistible offer for thousands of day trippers every summer. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Rossi Ice Cream to create this unique competition that anyone can enter.”
Colin Gray, Director of Rossi Ice Cream said "We are delighted to be working with c2c on the ice cream design competition and we look forward to seeing all the interesting ideas that their passengers put forward. As Rossi has recently been featured as Number One in the top 20 British seaside ice creams, it’s even more reason for everyone to visit Southend."
c2c is encouraging more people to head to the seaside this summer with great value fares, including discounts of up to 40% for those who book in advance and special £1 fares for children. More information and ideas are available here.
