Destination Pink this Friday for West Midlands buses
Dean Farley, Carol Such, James Dovey and Sharon Anderson from National Express West Midlands Yardley Wood garage showcase the new pink workwear
Bus drivers, inspectors and engineers at National Express West Midlands will be wearing pink this Friday (23 October) to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity.
Engineers have invested in bright pink hi-vis overalls to take part and drivers are being encouraged to wear their brightest pinks that will really catch customers’ eyes. All ten local National Express West Midlands garages are taking part and many garages are holding cake sales to raise additional funds.
Breast cancer can affect both men and women, as well as having an impact on their friends and family. The Breast Cancer Now charity is asking people to show their support and to ‘Wear it Pink’ on Friday for a small donation.
Peter Coates Managing Director of National Express West Midlands said:
“We are encouraging our drivers to wear it pink this Friday and help raise money for this good cause. We hope that customers will support drivers who are taking part and if they wish to join our fundraising efforts they can donate to Breast Cancer Now at any of our local travelshops.”
