Nine out of ten passengers satisfied with Dundee buses
A nationwide, independent survey has shown that nine in 10 bus passengers of National Express Dundee are happy with their service. The figures, released by transport watchdog Passenger Focus, record a 90% satisfaction score for travellers on the bus operator’s network.
The Bus Passenger Survey, which questioned more than 47,000 people across the country, has for the first time gathered figures about Scottish operators, including National Express Dundee.
Key satisfaction scores include:
- 92% for the ease of getting onto and off the bus
- 94% how near to the kerb the driver stopped
- 86% punctuality of the bus
- 88% satisfaction with personal security whilst on the bus
- 76% the helpfulness and attitude of the driver
Managing Director of National Express Dundee Elsie Turbyne said:
“This is the first survey commissioned by Passenger Focus looking at the satisfaction levels of our customers and we’re very pleased with this set of results.
“It’s encouraging to know that most passengers feel safe on our vehicles and are happy with journey times as well as the ease of getting on and off the bus.
“This survey has also clearly identified areas to improve, and we have noted there’s room to grow in areas such as punctuality, customer service and on-bus information for passengers.
“We will be working hard in the coming year to retain the high standards we are currently achieving and to develop those areas where passengers are telling us they’d like to see improvements.”
