West Bromwich to Walsall charity walk for children’s ward
Over 25 members of staff from National Express West Midlands will this Sunday, 2nd August, complete a charity walk to help raise money for Sandwell Hospital children’s ward, Lyndon One.
The company's West Bromwich garage has selected Sandwell Hospital Lyndon One ward as its local community partner and will be providing support in a range of ways, including fundraising, throughout the rest of this year and next.
The six mile walk, which kicks off at 10:00 from West Bromwich Albion’s Hawthorns stadium, is the first in a series of events for people to get onboard and support. The route, also served by National Express West Midlands’ number 4 service, cuts across the Sandwell region and finishes at Walsall FC’s Bescot stadium.
The bus operator employs over a thousand people in West Bromwich and Walsall and would like to encourage the local community to support the walk and help raise hundreds of pounds for the hospital.
Lyndon One is the inpatient and high dependency paediatric ward for children aged up to 16 and can accommodate 22 patients at any one time.
