Xplore Dundee – Christmas Services
Xplore Dundee has revealed details of its Christmas services, with buses operating right up until 22:00 on Christmas Eve.
There will be reduced services until Sunday 3 January, returning to normal timetables on Monday 4 January 2016. No buses will run on Christmas Day or New Year's Day. There will also be reducing opening hours for the Travel Shop in Commercial Street. Full details of all the changes are available on the Xplore Dundee website and Facebook page, or a leaflet can be picked up at the Travel Shop.
The bus operator’s special discounted Daysavers will continue to apply at the weekends throughout the festive season, allowing families and partygoers to travel across the city for less. Not only that but football fans will benefit from the cut-price fares when the Dundee derby is played on Saturday 2 January, which means supporters will be able to leave the car behind and enjoy a pie and a pint before they catch the bus home.
Managing Director Elsie Turbyne said:
“Although at this time of year we run a reduced service, we continue to offer a comprehensive network of routes across the city at the times when we think people will want to use them. We’re also continuing to offer our special Daysaver fares at the weekends and hope this will benefit customers travelling to the shops, visiting families or attending social events throughout the Christmas holidays and into the New Year.
“I want to thank our customers for using our services throughout 2015 and especially for welcoming our new Xplore Dundee brand. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and peaceful New Year.”
