National Express Coventry to extend route 20 into Nuneaton from 27th January 2020
From Monday 27th January 2020, National Express Coventry is introducing a bus route extension for customers travelling to and from Nuneaton.
The 20 service, which currently serves Coventry, Foleshill, Arena Park, Longford and Bedworth, will start serving Nuneaton up to every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime. A copy of the route map is available to download here.
There will be no change to the regular 20A, 20B and 20C services that provide direct links from Foleshill Road to Walsgrave and University Hospital. And buses will continue to run up to every 5 minutes along Foleshill Road between Coventry and Arena Park.
All National Express Coventry buses have a dedicated wheelchair space which can be used for buggies, if it is not required by a wheelchair user.
Chris Gibbens, Commercial Director of National Express Bus, said:
"We know our customers want reliable, frequent and direct bus travel to and from Nuneaton so we’re delighted to be able to provide a new great-value link between Coventry, Bedworth and Nuneaton.
“Running up to every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, it costs just £2.20 one way. Or for just £4, customers can travel across Coventry and Warwickshire on as many National Express Coventry services as they like, as many times as they like, all day.
“We hope that customers will take the opportunity to benefit from our new great-value service."
Contactless payment is the easiest and quickest way to pay for travel. Customers just tap their debit or credit card on the card reader each time they board a National Express Coventry bus.
The card will be charged £2.20 for the first journey, and no matter how many more times the customer travels that day, they tap the card each time they board and their fare will be capped at the daysaver rate of just £4.
Cash fares are available at the same price and English National Concessionary pass holders travel free after 9:30am on weekdays and all day on weekends.
Commuters travelling between Nuneaton, Bedworth and Coventry also enjoy great-value bus travel too, meaning getting to and from work is cheaper and easier with National Express Coventry.
Valid across Coventry and Warwickshire on any National Express Coventry service, weekly travelcards are available from just £13.50 and four-week travelcards from £48.96.
Full details of the new 20 extension including a new route map, timetables and all fare offers are available online at nxbus.co.uk/coventry. Printed versions of the new timetable will also be available in the coming weeks.
